Welcome
The North Capit0l Collaborative, Inc., (NCCI) is a non-profit 501(c)3 community-based organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. It is one of seven Healthy Family Thriving Community Collaborative organizations funded by the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) of the District of Columbia. Located in all parts of the city except the downtown business district and Ward 3, NCCI, specifically, serves seven district neighborhoods. These are Bloomingdale, China Town, Eckington/Edgewood, Ledroit Park, Mount Vernon Square, Truxton Circle and a small portion of the Shaw community. It provides case management to local families and builds greater capacity in meeting the needs of these families through a network of community partners who share their services to help the families during crisis.
The oganization also implements special initiatives such as the Youth Truancy Intervention Reduction Program (YTRIP), The Fatherhood, Educational and Empowerment Program (FEED), and the Systems Transformation Initiative (STI).
North Capitol Collaborative hosts numerous family trainings, activities, and events. Some of these are parent education, parent support, job fairs, and various Thanksgiving and Christmas drives. These programs have proven beneficial to many families during difficult times. Operational since 1997, NCCI continues to evolve and impact its community so many ways. The following pages of this website provide a glimpse of the organization and its services. See Special Events/Calendar Tab for 10th Annual Anniversary.
